All-On-4 Phoenix

The Advanced All-on-4 Technique Can Restore Your Smile with Fewer Dental Implants

If you have suffered jawbone atrophy after tooth loss, you may not qualify for traditional dental implant treatment. However, you may still be able to receive an implant-supported restoration.

Dr. Ehsan Pourshirazi performs the All-on-4® technique at his practice in Phoenix, AZ. This option, also known as Teeth in a Day, helps many patients experience the benefits of dental implants without having to undergo bone grafting.

Why should I consider All-on-4 for my dental implant treatment?

The Top 3 Benefits of All-on-4 Treatment

Minimal Prep Required

If you have bone loss as a result of tooth loss, you might not be a good candidate for traditional dental implants. But All-on-4 implants require less bone tissue for placement, so they are a viable option even without a bone graft.

Fewer Implant Posts

While traditional techniques require about eight dental implants for stability, All-on-4 implants are strategically placed to support a full denture using only four posts. Two are placed at a 45-degree angle to maximize contact with the bone.

Depiction of All-on-4 dental implants

The All-on-4® dental implant supported prosthesis, or denture, was invented for patients with minimal amounts of bone. Depending on the breadth and length of the jaw, it may be best for a patient to actually have more than just four implants.

This is not a cookie-cutter treatment plan or a one-size-fits-all. This treatment plan must be custom-fit for every patient. When you are evaluated for “all-on4” or “all-on-however many”, this will be a complimentary consultation with a complimentary Cone Beam Computerized Tomograph, or CBCT.

The ultimate goal of our treatment plan in an all-on-treatment plan is to achieve ultimate stability in your new denture. At GDS, you are going to depart our office on the day of your surgery with a brand new smile. You will have to have adequate implant support for that to occur. Sometimes, four implants are adequate, sometimes it is not enough. That is a case-by-case, mathematical determination.

Sometimes on upper dentures, there will be bone grafting that will be required into the sinuses. This is a very common procedure. If on rare occasion, there is a complication with a sinus graft, there can be a zygomatic implant placed. This is a procedure where the lower portion of the cheekbone is used to hold the implant in place. This may sound complicated, but it is commonplace for our GDS doctors! Call today to schedule your complimentary evaluation.

GDS also offers other dental implant supported prosthesis including snap-on smiles, including 2- and 4- implant retained dentures and when it is necessitated a bar prosthesis. These are all things that would need to be discussed with your GDS doctor. Call today to schedule your complimentary dental implant evaluation. Phoenix, you won’t be disappointed!
